Mi 5's black variant launching in India today, gold coming soon

Xiaomi

launched its Mi 5 flagship in India back in April this year, only the white color variant was made available, something which left many disappointed. However, that's going to change soon, as the company has now confirmed that other colors will also be available in the country.
The confirmation came in the form of a tweet from the Chinese company's India subsidiary, saying that the black and gold color variants will be launched in the country soon, although a specific date or month wasn't mentioned there.
However, in a Facebook post (embedded below), Xiaomi confirmed that the black model will go on sale today at Amazon India and Flipkart
A quick look the Flipkart's website reveals that there's even an entry for the black variant, but clicking it takes you to the site's home page at the moment, meaning the model isn't yet available for purchase.
This comes nearly a couple of weeks after Xiaomi announced that the availability of the Mi 5 has been expanded in India - aside from the firm's India online store, major third-party retailers like Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, and TataCLIQ are now also selling the phone.
